You can be sure that you are making the most out of your assets by investing in a tax efficient manner.
There are many different types of tax-efficient vehicles available which includes Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs), Pensions, Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) and Enterprise Investment Schemes (EISs) amongst others.
Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) are tax-efficient savings and investment accounts. You can use them to save money or invest in stocks and shares. With ISA’s, you pay no income tax on the interest or dividends you receive, and any profits from investments are free of Capital Gains Tax. This means that any capital invested into an ISA can grow in a tax-free environment.
Another method of saving tax-efficiently is pensions. Your pension pot can grow in a tax-free environment just like ISA’s, and money you contribute into a pension can receive upfront tax relief (although pension income is taxable, notwithstanding tax free cash of 25% of the fund value in a defined contribution pension).
Venture Capital Trust are portfolios of tax investments into early stage businesses, which receive upfront tax relief of up to 30%, provided the shares are held for at least five years. They can produce tax free dividends, and there is no Capital Gains Tax on disposal.
Enterprise Investment Schemes also offer upfront tax relief, but also qualify for Inheritance Tax relief after two year, as well as Capital Gains Tax deferral and loss relief against Income Tax
With so many different tax efficient vehicles, it is important that you choose the right strategy for you.

KLO Financial Services offer entirely independent advice, and we are not restricted in respect of the savings accounts and channels we recommend. We believe it is important that we are not restricted in our recommendations, which is why we choose to remain fully independent, acting only for our clients.
While saving for the future, you may find that you need support with investments, retirement planning or any other financial planning support. At KLO Financial Services, we can support our clients with whatever they need, as we are a fully integrated business. We therefore support in all channels of financial planning and investments.
Of course, the main benefit to saving efficiently is the large tax benefits. All interest earned in an ISA for example, is always tax free. If you have ISA’s such as a stocks and shares ISA, you don’t pay tax on any dividends from shares and you don’t pay capital gains tax on any profits made from investments.
With the assistance of a financial adviser, you can prepare for the future comfortably and resourcefully, knowing you are not paying unnecessary tax. This will increase the amount you save.
Improved Financial Understanding
Better financial understanding can be achieved when measurable financial goals are set, the effects of the decision understood, and the results reviewed. Having the support of a financial adviser gives you a whole new approach to your finances.
Increased Financial Security
The use of tax efficient savings and investments mean that you can have increased financial security. Reducing the amount of tax you pay means that you are increasing your wealth and are more prepared if anything unexpected should happen.
Even if you’re not sure what you want to use your finances for in the future, it is likely that you will need that money at some point. Even without specific goals, there are many savings accounts and investment paths you can take in order to get the most out of your money. Of course, if you have specific goals, some tax efficient investments may be better suited, however it is always worth seeking the support of a financial adviser.
The simple answer is no. At KLO Financial Services, we offer accessible services for all individuals. In fact, our first meeting is always at no cost to you and with no obligation.
The four main ISAs available are Cash ISAs, Investment ISAs, Lifetime ISAs and Innovative Finance ISAs. Each tax year, you can only pay into one each of these. They all have their own features, and with the support of a financial adviser, you can understand which scheme would suit you.
The total amount you can put into an ISA is limited, currently £20,000 per annum, this is known as your ISA allowance. Likewise, the most you can put into your pension and receive tax relief on is £40,000 per annum (although you may be able to ‘carry forward’ unused allowance from previous tax years). Some types of investments have a maximum, or minimum amounts you can invest, so understanding regulations and product rules is important. Your financial adviser will be able to help you with this.
Yes, transferring an existing ISA or pension to another provider is possible, however there are often rules. With KLO Financial Services, we will ensure that you are aware of your existing ISA and pension regulations in order to ensure that you maximise your ISA and pension tax benefits.
